Multistakeholders Participatory Approach : Evident from Forest Based Landscape
A session by Governor of South Sumatera Province
Date : Tuesday, 8 November 2016
Time : 09.00 – 10.30 GMT
Venue : Indonesia Pavilion at COP22, Marrakech, Morocco
It has been widely recognized that effective implementation of conservation and responsible land management effort does not recognized physical boundaries. As such, the South Sumatra province is employing a multi-stakeholders approach, which means looking at the range of issues, types of land use, priority areas, and stakeholders across the landscape in order to collaborate to develop targeted action plans.
The South Sumatra province strives to work with all parties working and operating in the same landscape in order to align and synergize all existing conservation and land management efforts to achieve forest conservation and sustainable development goals.
