About
Ecosystem degradation poses severe threats to biodiversity and jeopardizes the planet’s ecological balance. As a result, governments, organizations, and corporations are grappling with the pressing need for innovative restoration practices. This panel will bring together an environmental organization and the Directorate General of Nature Resources and Ecosystem Conservation (KSDAE) who have been at the forefront of ecosystem conservation efforts. The involvement of UN Biodiversity is to show that this issue is not just local to Indonesia, but indeed a global issue.
The panel discussion aims to foster a collaborative environment where participants can share strategies and best practices in ecosystem restoration. By learning from each other’s experiences, participants can identify innovative methods that have proven effective in different contexts.
The session will highlight the technologies and tools that can significantly boost ecosystem restoration efforts.
As we know, collaboration between diverse stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and the private sector, is important to carry out large-scale ecosystem restoration. The panel will explore ways to strengthen partnerships and encourage shared responsibilities for a sustainable future.
In this panel, APP will share the methods we currently using to carry out restoration projects and the methods are studying deeper that can be implemented in our long-term restoration goals.
The involvement of APP demonstrates the importance of private sector engagement in sustainable practices. We will share insights how companies can contribute to ecosystem restoration using a wide amount of data gathering and available technologies.
Scholars and researchers interested in ecosystem restoration, environmental innovation, and sustainable development will find the panel discussions enlightening, stimulating further research and academic discourse. This panel aims to inspire transformative actions, spark partnerships, and formulate innovative solutions to address the challenges in ecosystem restoration and conservation. The diverse expertise and perspectives of the participants will create a dynamic discussion.
