About

A. Background

Indonesia's pathway toward Net Zero Emissions by 2060 requires an integrated approach that synergizes nature-based solutions with cutting-edge technology. While Indonesia's forests, mangroves, and peatlands serve as vital carbon sinks, technological innovation in industrial decarbonization, clean energy, and sustainable supply chains is equally critical. This session highlights how leading Indonesian corporations are harmonizing natural and technological strategies to build climate-resilient development, demonstrating that the convergence of these approaches strengthens Indonesia's climate integrity, supports its NDC targets, and enhances global competitiveness.

  • PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) will present its transformation toward low-carbon fertilizer production through clean ammonia, carbon capture, and circular economy practices that balancing food security with emission reductions.
  • Huayou Indonesia will demonstrate technological breakthroughs in the electric vehicle battery supply chain from low-emission nickel processing to renewable energy integration and positioning Indonesia as a hub for green critical minerals.
  • PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (APRIL Group) will showcase its sustainable forest management and landscape restoration under the APRIL2030 vision, integrating nature- based carbon projects with traceability technology.
  • PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk will highlight its multi-sector leadership in decarbonizing mobility, agriculture, and infrastructure through clean technology, EV ecosystems, and sustainable agroforestry.
